Description

The EuPEO project will inform the platform of future European Physical Education Observatory, bridging the gaps between guidelines, concepts for monitoring and evaluation, between sport, health and education sectors, and different sets of indicators, to encourage a quality Physical Education, School Sport and other forms of promotion of School Physical Activity in the european region. EuPEO project aims to convert former monitoring and evaluation experiences of PE, HEPA, public health and education sector into a comprehensive but applicable monitoring system by developing the EuPEO webpage, a manual for external monitoring (MEA) and a toolkit to prepare and provide internal self-monitoring (TIM) of quality Physical Education and School Sport. The project is divided in three phases. In the first phase, several questionnaires are developed and tested to assess the reality of Physical Education and School Sport (Country Questionnaire [ECQ], School Questionnaire [ESQ], Pupil Questionnaire [EPQ]). The manual (MEA) and toolkit (TIM) are developed and tested in the second part of the project. All instruments and materials will be finalized and distributed in national workshops as part of the third phase of the project. The project is coordinated by the Faculty of Human Kinetics, University of Lisbon, and funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union (590560-EPP-1-2017- 1-PT-S PO-S CP). The Institute of Sport Science of the Muenster University takes part as an associated partner. The Willibald Gebhardt Institute, an affiliated institute of the Muenster University, is involved as a partner organisation. Another national partner organisation is the Deutsche Sportlehrerverband (DSLV).
