On behalf of the Office of Technology Assessment (in German: Büro für Technikfolgen‑Abschätzung) of the German Federal Parliament (in German: Deutscher Bundestag) a survey report about possibilities to access to the information society was conducted. By utilizing a systematic monitoring of publications in the area of public, law, economy and politics, questions of regulation with respect to the internet were identified and described. These issues are, up now, only rudimentary discussed in public and not explored sufficiently. The report led to an agenda of media political questions. Two selected questions topics were discussed in depth: The question about the journalistic quality in the internet as well as the impact on the economic ancillary conditions of professional journalism, in particular for daily newspapers.
