How to search in the research portal

Search is an important feature of the research portal. It is the link between data and users. Therefore, we are constantly working on the search options and will successively expand them. We are looking forward to your ideas and suggestions.

Use one or more search terms

To find data, enter one or more search terms in the search box - either within a certain rubric like publications or on the start page to search across the entire portal.

You can search for a complete term or parts of a term. In case of partial terms, all terms beginning with this word will also be found. Individual words of a term are connected with a logical AND. This means that your search results will contain all words of the term.

It does not matter if the search term is written in upper or lower case. Punctuation marks are ignored or treated as word separators.

What to expect

We are working on adding more search options to the research portal. You can expect these options next:

  • Exact phrase search, which combines several words within quotation marks into one search phase
  • OR search, that searches for multiple terms independently
  • Filter search results based on certain attributes, e.g. year and type of a publication
