Zusammenfassung

In daily life situations, decision-making is vital to survive, as well as the choice of the best option, which is more favorable at the moment, or a simple choice of which way to take on a road. Sports don't make an exception in this process of decision-making, given the fact that the handball athletes are confronted with many situations where they have to choose what decision to make whether they have or don’t have the ball. To understand the decision-making we showed short videos of handball game sequences to two different groups, students’ players and professional athletes of handball. It was the focus of this study to observe which decision they took after stopping the video in the middle of an action. The results showed that the students had more preference to continue the game than to throw the ball at the goal, the other group, and the handball athletes preferred to throw the ball at the goal directly. With this study we suggest that athletes with more experience, normally, prefer to throw and make a goal by their. On the other hand students athletes chose to pass the ball and waited for a clearer situation to throw the ball at the goal.
