Abstract

Several academic organizations like the German Research Foundation (DFG) increasingly emphasize the importance of a professional research data management for the scientific community. Regulations for secure storage and making data available in terms of open science need tobe established, to fully harness the immense value of research data as a proof of accuracy and as a basis for future studies. With 667 completed questionnaires by researchers at Münster University (WWU), this survey aims to provide insights on the implementation of research data management in research practice generally and in different academic disciplines in particular.
