Within the framework of this project we identified volatile-rich clasts within meteorite breccias that differ from all meteoritic materials previously identified in studies of individual meteorites. This is especially the case for a new type of C1-clasts that differ significantly from Ivuna-like (CI1) chondritic matter. To better determine the role of these clasts in the early solar system and whether they represent planetary building blocks or components of late accretionary processes, the newly identified clast materials will be characterized isotopically (Cr, Ti, and N) and chemically (major- and trace-element bulk compositions, including noble gases). In addition, the existing sample set will be extended by searching for new unique types of meteorites and clasts in breccias.
